The favourite snack par excellence are chips, would you like to eat them freshly made? Well, with this simple recipe you can make them at home.
All you need are 4 medium potatoes, preferably sour potato for its low sugar properties, 3 tablespoons of salt and 1 liter of oil to fry them.
The first thing you have to do is peel and cut the potatoes into very thin slices, it is better to use a mandolin so that they all have the same thickness, although you can do it with a knife, and put them in a bowl with cold water.
Once this is done, drain and rinse them and refill the bowl with water and add the salt and let the potatoes soak for at least 30 minutes. When this time has passed, rinse and rain them again.
Heat the oil in a fryer or frying pan at 180ºC and fry the slices in small batches. When they begin to brown, remove them and drain them with absorbent paper.
Finally, season with salt as you like.
